San Jose teenager arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly running into group with a car SAN JOSE — A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of charges including attempted murder, after he allegedly ran over a group of people following a confrontation at an East San Jose restaurant in September, police said.One of the people struck by the vehicle remained hospitalized with injuries still considered life-threatening, police said Friday.The incident occurred Sept. 23 when a confrontation happened inside a restaurant near the intersection of Stewart and Alum Rock avenues. When the victims left the establishment, the teenager followed them in a vehicle and plowed into the group, police said.Police released a surveillance video from the scene on Friday, which showed the initial collision. The footage clearly shows a black sedan chasing a group of what appeared to be four people running through a parking lot on foot. The owner of the house was not home at the time and the driver was not injured in the crash.The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution, officials said. Video of the scene showed that the Tesla suffered significant front-end damage.
