Pedestrian struck and killed in suspected DUI collision on rural Pittsburg road PITTSBURG — A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle driven on a rural bypass road by a person suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.The suspected DUI collision happened about 1:15 a.m. Thursday morning on Kirker Pass Road at Nortonville Road, according to a statement from Pittsburg police.Authorities did not publicly identify the pedestrian immediately, pending the notification of next of kin.The driver who struck the person stayed on the scene. That person was arrested on suspicion of DUI.Officers discovered the pedestrian in the roadway after arriving.
